This page answers the question: "What are the top anime franchises worldwide right now?"

This page shows the top anime ranking in 2026 based on real data from Netflix, YouTube, and Google Trends across 86 countries. Our CVS (Character Valuation Score) measures global popularity using search demand, social buzz, and platform reach. Updated daily.

Data comes from six independent sources: Netflix Top 10 rankings, YouTube trending, Google Trends search interest, AniList and MyAnimeList community data, and Wikipedia pageviews. Each franchise score aggregates all titles under the same brand, with a breadth bonus for multi-title franchises.

How Rankings Work

Each franchise's CVS is computed by taking the highest-scoring IP within the franchise and adding a breadth bonus (up to +10) for having multiple active titles. Individual IP scores weight four dimensions: Social Buzz (30%), Search Demand (25%), Global Reach (25%), and Source Coverage (20%).
