About IP Ranking

A neutral read on entertainment IP demand

IP Ranking turns public demand signals into a comparable daily demand index for brands, agencies, licensors, researchers, and entertainment teams.

Maintained by an operations team with practical anime IP licensing experience.

What this is

A production demand-intelligence surface built around Cultural Velocity Score / CVS v1.2. It helps compare observable demand signals; it does not claim official viewership, sales, distribution, commercial value, or licensing outcomes.

Operated as the IP Ranking brand, with methodology, data policy, and contact paths documented for review.

Why we built it

Entertainment demand is visible, but scattered

Entertainment IP decisions often depend on fragmented signals: search interest, platform rankings, community activity, regional reach, and source coverage. Each is useful, but none tells the full story alone.

IP Ranking makes those public signals easier to read in one consistent frame, so teams can compare anime, game, western, and character IPs without pretending the score is a private audience total.

What we measure

Observable demand signals, normalized for comparison

CVS v1.2 combines four production scoring dimensions across eligible public signal-source categories and 86 markets. The output is a demand-signal index, not a rating, forecast, or official popularity declaration.

Search Intensity & Geographic Spread

30%

Search attention, currently based on Google Trends with spread adjustment so a single loud market does not define the whole score.

Search Demand

25%

Demand intensity across an IP's strongest observable markets and search surfaces.

Observed Market Coverage

25%

How widely an IP shows measurable signal across the normalized CVS market set.

Source Coverage

20%

Eligible coverage against the target six-source framework. It can stay below 100% when target sources are gated, stale, disabled, or missing.

Transparent by default

CVS v1.2, source categories, update cadence, and caveats are documented so teams can understand what the score can and cannot say.

Demand, not opinion

IP Ranking does not rate creative quality or fandom preference. It compares observable public demand signals across a shared framework.

Honest about limits

Demand signals are not official audience totals, sales, distribution coverage, revenue, valuation, or investment advice.
